• The Ministry of Science and Technology has developed PathGennie, a new open-source computational software that significantly accelerates drug discovery by accurately simulating drug–protein unbinding.

Aim and Significance

• To overcome limitations of traditional molecular dynamics simulations, particularly in capturing slow and rare molecular transitions.

• ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ PathGennie, ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਓਪਨ-ਸੋਰਸ ਕੰਪਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੌਫਟਵੇਅਰ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਡਰੱਗ-ਪ੍ਰੋਟੀਨ ਅਨਬਾਈਡਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨਕਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਸੌਫਟਵੇਅਰ ਡਰੱਗ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਡਰੱਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਰਕ।
• ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ: ਐਸ.ਐਨ. ਬੋਸ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫਾਰ ਬੇਸਿਕ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼, ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ।

• ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਅਣੂ ਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਸਿਮੂਲੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੀਮਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਹੌਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਅਣੂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਪਚਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ।
