Manipur BJP Legislator Becomes First Indian to Receive 5th Dan in Traditional Taekwondo/ ਮਨੀਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਤਾਈਕਵਾਂਡੋ ਵਿੱਚ 5ਵਾਂ ਡੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਬਣੇ
- Yumnam Khemchand Singh, former Manipur Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, has become the first Indian to receive the 5th Dan black belt in the traditional taekwondo art style.
- He received the 5th Dan certificate from Mayong Suk, Vice President of the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation (GTTF), at the federation’s office in Seoul.
- He was honoured in recognition of his decades-long contribution to promoting traditional taekwondo in India.
- ਯੁਮਨਮ ਖੇਮਚੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮਣੀਪੁਰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਭਾਜਪਾ) ਵਿਧਾਇਕ, ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਤਾਈਕਵਾਂਡੋ ਕਲਾ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ 5ਵੀਂ ਡੈਨ ਬਲੈਕ ਬੈਲਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
- ਉਸਨੇ ਸੋਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਟ੍ਰੈਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਤਾਈਕਵਾਂਡੋ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ (GTTF) ਦੇ ਉਪ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੇਯੋਂਗ ਸੁਕ ਤੋਂ 5ਵਾਂ ਡੈਨ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
- ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਤਾਈਕਵਾਂਡੋ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੇ ਦਹਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
