UK PM Keir Starmer Conferred the 'Living Bridge' Awards by IBG in London / ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੀਰ ਸਟਾਰਮਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਡਨ 'ਚ ਆਈਬੀਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ 'ਲਿਵਿੰਗ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ' ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।
- UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer was conferred the 'Living Bridge' honour by the UK-based India Business Group (IBG) on September 23, 2025, in London.
- He received the award for his role in championing closer ties between India and the UK and for finalizing the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
- The India-UK FTA is known as the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and aims to double bilateral trade to $120 billion by 2030, pending its ratification by the UK parliament.
- ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੀਰ ਸਟਾਰਮਰ ਨੂੰ 23 ਸਤੰਬਰ, 2025 ਨੂੰ ਲੰਡਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਗਰੁੱਪ (ਆਈਬੀਜੀ) ਨੇ 'ਲਿਵਿੰਗ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ' ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
- ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਮੁਕਤ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ (ਐਫਟੀਏ) ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਮ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
- ਭਾਰਤ-ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਐਫਟੀਏ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ (ਸੀਈਟੀਏ) ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ 2030 ਤੱਕ ਦੁਵੱਲੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਗਣਾ ਕਰਕੇ 120 ਅਰਬ ਡਾਲਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
