• Celebrated twice each year — on the second Saturday of May and October — marking the spring and autumn migration seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres.
• The Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) (Bonn Convention), is an international environmental treaty under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
•  It was signed in 1979 in Bonn, Germany, and came into force in 1983.
•  India became a party to CMS in 1983.

• ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਆਨ ਦ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ਼ ਮਾਈਗ੍ਰੇਟਰੀ ਸਪੀਸੀਜ਼ ਆਫ਼ ਵਾਈਲਡ ਐਨੀਮਲਜ਼ (ਸੀਐਮਐਸ) (ਬੋਨ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ), ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ (ਯੂਐਨਈਪੀ) ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੰਧੀ ਹੈ। 
• ਇਹ ਬੌਨ, ਜਰਮਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ 1979 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸਤਖਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 1983 ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। 
• ਭਾਰਤ 1983 ਵਿੱਚ CMS ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
