World Tsunami Awareness Day

  • Ministry of Education in India has announced the introduction of a curriculum on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Thinking (CT) in all schools from Class 3 onwards, starting from the 2026-27 academic year.
  • The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
  •  AI education will be linked to the theme "The World Around Us" to provide real-world context for the students.
  • The curriculum is being developed by an expert committee constituted by (CBSE) and chaired by Professor Karthik Raman of IIT Madras.

Ayushman Bharat becomes the world's No. 1 health scheme with more than 12 crore families / ਆਯੁਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ 12 ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਨੰਬਰ 1 ਸਿਹਤ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ

  •  It provides a health cover of ₹5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization to over 12 crore poor and vulnerable families, which roughly translates to 55 crore (550 million) beneficiaries, forming the bottom 40% of the Indian population.
  • The scheme provides financial protection to an enormous number of families and individuals, making it the most extensive government-funded health assurance program globally.
  • Since its launch in September 2018, the scheme has saved families over ₹1.52 lakh crore in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
  • The number of Ayushman cards issued has also surpassed 42 crore.
