• Ministry of Education in India has announced the introduction of a curriculum on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Thinking (CT) in all schools from Class 3 onwards, starting from the 2026-27 academic year.
• The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
•  AI education will be linked to the theme "The World Around Us" to provide real-world context for the students.
• The curriculum is being developed by an expert committee constituted by (CBSE) and chaired by Professor Karthik Raman of IIT Madras.
• ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ 2026-27 ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਟੀਫਿਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ (ਏਆਈ) ਅਤੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਥਿੰਕਿੰਗ (ਸੀਟੀ) 'ਤੇ ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
• ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੀਤੀ (ਐਨਈਪੀ) 2020 ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਹੈ।
• ਏਆਈ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ "ਸਾਡੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ" ਥੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕ-ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
• ਇਹ ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ (ਸੀਬੀਐਸਈ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗਠਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਈਆਈਟੀ ਮਦਰਾਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਕਾਰਤਿਕ ਰਮਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਹਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
