• ਇਹ 12 ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਗਰੀਬ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ 5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਕਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲਗਭਗ 55 ਕਰੋੜ (550 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ) ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਲਾ 40٪ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਫੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਿਹਤ ਬੀਮਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
• ਸਤੰਬਰ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਖਰਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1.52 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਬਚਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
• ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਆਯੁਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕਾਰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੀ 42 ਕਰੋੜ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
