• Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) became the first Indian firm to exceed 15 GW renewable energy capacity, reaching 15,539.9 MW by June 2025.
• It is India’s largest renewable energy company and among the top 10 global independent power producers. AGEL added 5,000 MW in 15 months and aims for 50 GW by 2030.
• The Khavda plant in Gujarat’s Kutch district, under development, will be the world’s largest renewable energy plant.
• ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗ੍ਰੀਨ ਐਨਰਜੀ ਲਿਮਟਿਡ (ਏਜੀਈਐਲ) 15 ਗੀਗਾਵਾਟ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫਰਮ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਜੂਨ 2025 ਤੱਕ 15,539.9 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
• ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਟੀ ਦੇ ੧੦ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਏਜੀਈਐਲ ਨੇ 15 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 5,000 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ 2030 ਤੱਕ 50 ਗੀਗਾਵਾਟ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
• ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਕੱਛ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਖਾਵੜਾ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
