• The Indian Coast Guard and the Japanese Coast Guard will conduct a joint exercise, codenamed Jaa Mata (meaning "see you later" in Japanese), off the coast of Chennai. 
• The Japan Coast Guard will be represented by its ship, Itsukushima, which arrived at Chennai Port 
• ਭਾਰਤੀ ਤੱਟ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਤੱਟ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਚੇਨਈ ਦੇ ਤੱਟ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਡਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਮਾਤਾ (ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ "ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਂਗੇ") ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। 
• ਜਾਪਾਨ ਕੋਸਟ ਗਾਰਡ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਇਟਸੁਕੁਸ਼ੀਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜੋ ਚੇਨਈ ਬੰਦਰਗਾਹ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਸੀ
