• ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਲਾਲ ਚੰਦ ਕਟਾਰੂਚੱਕ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2025-26 ਲਈ ਕਈ ਹਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
• ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਰਾਜਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੁੰਦਰੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
• 'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਹਰਿਆਵਲ ਸੰਕਲਪ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਲ 2025-26 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਰੇਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 3.5 ਲੱਖ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
• ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਕਰਨ, ਜੈਵ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।
