• The 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2025 kicked off on September 22 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, bringing together over 1,200 delegates from across the country to chart the next phase of India’s digital transformation.

While World Teak Conference was held in Kochi in 2025, it was the 5th edition,. It was, however, the first time India hosted the conference.

Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) coordinated by the International Teak Information Network (TEAKNET)

 Kerala was a fitting host, as the state is home to the world's oldest teak plantation in Nilambur.

• India will host the 5th Coast Guard Global Summit (CGGS) in Chennai in 2027, aligning with the Golden Jubilee of the Indian Coast Guard (50th anniversary).

Pakistan is set to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in 2027. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially announced the hosting rights and urged authorities to begin preparations for the event in Islamabad.

 The announcement came after the 2025 SCO summit, which was held in Tianjin, China.

The next annual summit in 2026 is scheduled to be held in Bishkek.

ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ 2027 'ਚ ਸ਼ੰਘਾਈ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਸੰਗਠਨ (ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ.ਓ.) ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰੀਫ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

• The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) announced that India will host the 89th General Meeting (GM) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) from 15 to 19 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
• Established in 1906, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world’s leading body for developing international standards for electrical, electronic and related technologies, with a network of 30,000 experts worldwide.

• ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡਜ਼ (ਬੀਆਈਐਸ) ਨੇ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ 15 ਤੋਂ 19 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਮੰਡਪਮ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰੋਟੈਕਨੀਕਲ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਆਈਈਸੀ) ਦੀ 89 ਵੀਂ ਜਨਰਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ (ਜੀਐਮ) ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

The Collegium has recommended, Justice Soumen Sen, as Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.

Justice P.B. Bajanthri, who is currently the Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court, was recommended to be appointed its regular Chief Justice.

Justice M. Sundar, was recommended as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court

• Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat has been given the additional charge of Maharashtra after former Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan demitted office after being elected as the Vice-President of India.
• Mr. Devvrat is Governor of Gujarat since 2019.
