Punjab Becomes First State to Offer ₹10 Lakh Annual Cashless Health Insurance to Every Family / ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਨਕਦੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਸਿਹਤ ਬੀਮਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

  • Punjab has become the first state in India to offer every household an annual cashless health insurance cover of ₹10 lakh.
  • Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal jointly announced the scheme, aimed at revolutionizing healthcare accessibility across the state.
  • Under Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna  scheme, all 65 lakh families in Punjab will be entitled to free treatment for all diseases in both government and empanelled private hospitals.
  •  The scheme will also extend full coverage to government employees, anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers.
  • Every resident of Punjab will receive a "Mukhyamantri Sehat Card," ensuring fully cashless treatment at eligible hospitals across the state.

  • ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਕਨਵੀਨਰ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
  • ਇਸ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ 65 ਲੱਖ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਚੀਬੱਧ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਫਤ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
  •  ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ, ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਵਰੇਜ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
  • ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਨੂੰ "ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਕਾਰਡ" ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਕਦੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਇਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਏਗਾ।

  • A key highlight includes a pilot project to plant large flowering saplings along major highways, contributing to both beautification and ecological balance.
  • The flagship campaign, ‘Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Haryaval Sankalp’, aims to plant 3.5 lakh saplings in each district during 2025–26.
  • This initiative is part of Punjab’s larger vision to expand forest cover, improve biodiversity, and raise environmental awareness across the state.

Hnahthia Distt of Mizoram tops NITI Aayog NER SDG Index Report 2023–24 / ਮਿਜ਼ੋਰਮ ਦਾ ਹਨਾਹਥੀਆ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਨੀਤੀ ਆਯੋਗ ਐਨਈਆਰ ਐਸਡੀਜੀ ਇੰਡੈਕਸ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ 2023-24 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੈ

  • The Hnahthial district of Mizoram has been ranked as the top district among the 121 districts of the eight northeastern states in achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets. 
  • The North Eastern Region (NER) District Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index Report (2023-24) was prepared by the NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region.
  • The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in India provided technical support in preparing the report.
  • ਮਿਜ਼ੋਰਮ ਦੇ ਹਨਾਹਥਿਆਲ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਟੀਚਿਆਂ (ਐਸਡੀਜੀ) ਟੀਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਠ ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ 121 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਰਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਟੀਆ ਦਾ ਫਲੈਗਸ਼ਿਪ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਏਰੋਪੋਲਿਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਭਰਿਆ ਹੈ

  • Kerala has been ranked the top-performing state in the Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) of National Parks and Protected Areas (PAs) for the cycle 2020–2025, conducted by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
  • With a score of 76.22%, Kerala is the only state to receive a “Very Good” rating
  • Eravikulam National Park (Kerala) and Dachigam National Park (J&K) both scored the highest among protected areas: 92.97% each.
