India has been conferred the prestigious ISSA Award 2025 for outstanding achievement in providing social security / ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ISSA ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ 2025 ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

- India was recognized for increasing its social security coverage from 19% in 2015 to 64.3% in 2025, reaching over 940 million citizens.

- India is only the fifth country to receive this award since its inception in 2013.
- Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya accepted the award on behalf of the Government of India at the World Social Security Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

- ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਵਰੇਜ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਹੈ।
- ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਵਰੇਜ ਨੂੰ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ 19٪ ਤੋਂ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ 64.3٪ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜੋ 940 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

- 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਿਰਫ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।
- ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨਸੁਖ ਮਾਂਡਵੀਯਾ ਨੇ ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੇ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਫੋਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਤਰਫੋਂ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
