TOURIST TAX ROLLED OUT IN RUSSIA FROM JAN. 1

ROMANIA & BULGARIA BECOME FULL MEMBER OF EU’S SCHENGEN AREA

  • Romania and Bulgaria have officially become the full member of the European Union’s (EU) Schengen area Until now both countries had partial membership of the Schengen area
  • Now 25 out of the 27 member countries of the European Union are members of the Schengen area except Cyprus and Ireland. 
  • Romania and Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007.
