World Elephant Day

- India currently has 33 Elephant Reserves, spread across 14 states, covering an area of approximately 80,778 km².
- The latest addition, the Terai Elephant Reserve, was established in Uttar Pradesh and notified in late 2023.
- ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ 33 ਹਾਥੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਹਨ, ਜੋ 14 ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਲਗਭਗ 80,778 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
- ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਜੋੜ, ਤਰਾਈ ਹਾਥੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ, ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 2023 ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
