NMDC Steel Ltd Becomes First in India to Receive BIS License for Hot Rolled Steel for welded steel pipe / ਵੈਲਡਿਡ ਸਟੀਲ ਪਾਈਪ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੌਟ ਰੋਲਡ ਸਟੀਲ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਬੀਆਈਐੱਸ ਲਾਇਸੈਂਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਐੱਨਐੱਮਡੀਸੀ ਸਟੀਲ ਲਿਮਿਟੇਡ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ
- The license was issued under the Indian Standard IS 18384:2023, which outlines general requirements for "Hot Rolled Steel Strip, Sheet, and Plates for Welded Steel Pipe for Pipeline Transportation Systems".
- Significance: Sets a new benchmark in steel quality for the petroleum and natural gas pipeline industry.
- This is not NMDC Steel's first major certification. Earlier in 2025, the company also became the first Indian steel plant to simultaneously secure four Integrated Management System (IMS) ISO certifications from BIS.

- ਮਹੱਤਵਤਾ: ਪੈਟਰੋਲੀਅਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਗੈਸ ਪਾਈਪਲਾਈਨ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਸਟੀਲ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ.
- ਇਹ ਐੱਨਐੱਮਡੀਸੀ ਸਟੀਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੀਕਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੰਪਨੀ ਬੀਆਈਐਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਚਾਰ ਇੰਟੀਗ੍ਰੇਟਿਡ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਸਿਸਟਮ (ਆਈਐਮਐਸ) ਆਈਐਸਓ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਟੀਲ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਵੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
