Scheme Details
Objective: To facilitate people who cannot afford to visit various sacred places within the state and the country.
Beneficiaries: The scheme is open to individuals of all castes, religions, and income groups. Devotees aged 50 years and above are eligible to register.
The Punjab government covers all expenses for the pilgrimage, including AC travel, accommodation (three-day, two-night stay), food, and medical facilities.
EaseMyTrip has won the mandate to operate these tours in some regions like Bathinda.
The second phase of the scheme includes visits to several prominent religious sites in Punjab and other states, such as:
Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) , Durgiana Temple ,Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal , Jallianwala Bagh , The Partition Museum , Sri Anandpur Sahib ,Mata Naina Devi (Himachal Pradesh)
