Department of Telecommunications launched the pilot project of 'Samriddhi Gram Physical Services' in rural areas of three states
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) launched the pilot project of 'Samriddh Gram Phygital Services' in rural areas of three states: Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
It aims to bridge the digital divide by creating "Samriddhi Kendras" (integrated digital service hubs) in these villages. These centers leverage BharatNet connectivity to offer a range of services, including: Education and Skilling , Agriculture , Healthcare, e-Governance , E-Commerce and Financial Inclusion.

1.The DoT launched the "National Broadband Mission (NBM) 2.0" and the "Sanchar Saathi App" on January 17, 2025, to improve digital connectivity and security.
2.The DoT released a draft of the National Telecom Policy 2025 for public consultation , aims to double the sector's contribution to India's GDP, achieve ₹1 trillion in annual investment, and create one million new jobs by 2030.
