SMART-CROP Initiative Promotes Smart Farming Using Technology and Data Analytics / ਸਮਾਰਟ-ਕ੍ਰੌਪ ਪਹਿਲ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਟਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਖੇਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ
- The three-year SMART-CROP project is a collaboration between ICRISAT, SBI Foundation's LEAP, aiming to support over 8,000 farmers in selected districts of Telangana and Karnataka, India. ‘
- The program is designed to boost the yield and resilience of pulse crops, particularly pigeon pea and chickpea, against climate risks, pests, and diseases.
- The SMART-CROP initiative (Sustainable Monitoring and Real-time Tracking for Crop Resilience and Optimal Practices) promotes smart farming by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), satellite imaging, remote sensing, and data analytics to provide actionable insights to smallholder farmers.
- ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾ ਸਮਾਰਟ-ਕ੍ਰੌਪ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਆਈਸੀਆਰਆਈਐੱਸਏਟੀ, ਐੱਸਬੀਆਈ ਫਾਉਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਐੱਲਈਏਪੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇਲੰਗਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ, ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਚੋਣਵੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 8,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ‘
- ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਜੋਖਮਾਂ, ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦਾਲ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ, ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਬੂਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੈਦਾਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਚਕੀਲੇਪਣ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
