National Legal Services Day, 2025, celebrated on November 9 / ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦਿਵਸ, 2025, 9 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ
- The date, November 9th, is chosen to commemorate the coming into force of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, which was implemented on November 9, 1995.
- The primary objective of this day and the Act is to:
- Promote Free Legal Aid: Fulfill the mandate of Article 39A of the Constitution of India, which directs the State to provide free legal aid to the poor and weaker sections of society to ensure justice on the basis of equal opportunity.
- The celebrations in 2025 further emphasized the use of technology to make justice more accessible and the importance of delivering judgments and legal documents in regional languages for better public comprehension and compliance.
- 9 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਦੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀਜ਼ ਐਕਟ, 1987 ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ 9 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 1995 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
- ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਐਕਟ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ:
- ਮੁਫਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕਰੋ: ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 39 ਏ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੋ, ਜੋ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੁਫਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
- 2025 ਦੇ ਜਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਲਈ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
