The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) officially begins  on November 10, 2025, in Belém, Brazil.

Significance: It is the first time the climate conference is being held in the Amazon region, symbolizing the critical link between climate change, biodiversity, and forest conservation.

The core theme of COP30 is to shift from promises to concrete delivery and implementation, marking a pivotal moment 10 years after the signing of the Paris Agreement.

Assessing the progress of national climate plans (NDCs) and pushing countries to submit bolder, more ambitious plans to keep the global warming limit of 1.5°C within reach.

Mobilizing and securing the promised $100 billion in annual climate finance for developing nations.

Emphasizing a socially equitable transition away from fossil fuels, protecting workers, indigenous communities, and local populations.

ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ (ਐਨਡੀਸੀ) ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1.5 ਡਿਗਰੀ ਸੈਲਸੀਅਸ ਦੀ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਵਾਰਮਿੰਗ ਸੀਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਦਲੇਰਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਅਭਿਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਬਾਅ ਪਾਉਣਾ.

ਵਿਕਾਸਸ਼ੀਲ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਵਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ 100 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਟਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਕਰਨਾ।
