23 November - Fibonacci Day/ 23 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਫਿਬੋਨਾਚੀ ਦਿਵਸ
- November 23 is celebrated as Fibonacci day because when the date is written in the mm/dd format (11/23), the digits in the date form a Fibonacci sequence: 1,1,2,3
- Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers where a number is the sum of the two numbers before it.
- The day honours Leonardo of Pisa (commonly known as Fibonacci), an Italian mathematician who popularised the sequence in his book Liber Abaci (1202).
- 23 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਬੋਨਾਚੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਾਰੀਖ ਨੂੰ mm/dd ਫਾਰਮੈਟ (11/23) ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤਾਰੀਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਕ ਇੱਕ ਫਿਬੋਨਾਚੀ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ: 1,1,2,3।
- ਫਿਬੋਨਾਚੀ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਸੰਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੜੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਖਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਸੰਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
- ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਪੀਸਾ ਦੇ ਲਿਓਨਾਰਡੋ (ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਫਿਬੋਨਾਚੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ), ਇੱਕ ਇਤਾਲਵੀ ਗਣਿਤ-ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਲਿਬਰ ਅਬਾਸੀ (1202) ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
