PM welcomed the release of a commemorative postage stamp honouring Emperor Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II / ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਮਰਾਟ ਪੇਰੂਮਬਿਦੁਗੁ ਮੁਥਰਾਈਅਰ II ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
- Prime Minister of India has welcomed the release of a commemorative postage stamp honouring Emperor Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II (Suvaran Maran), recognising his administrative excellence and patronage of Tamil culture.
- Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II, also known as Suvaran Maran or Shatrubhayankar, was a prominent ruler of the Mutharaiyar lineage who ruled during c. 705–745 CE.
- He belonged to the Mutharaiyar dynasty, a powerful Tamil ruling lineage.
- He functioned as a feudatory of the Pallavas, particularly under Pallava king Nandivarman II.
- He controlled the central Cauvery region, including Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Perambalur, and surrounding areas.
- ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਮਰਾਟ ਪੇਰੂਮਬਿਦੁਗੁ ਮੁਥਰਾਈਅਰ II (ਸੁਵਰਨ ਮਾਰਨ) ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
- ਪੇਰੂਮਬਿਦੁਗੁ ਮੁਥਰਾਈਅਰ II, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਸੁਵਰਨ ਮਾਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਤਰੂਭਯੰਕਰ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੁਥਰਾਈਅਰ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ 705–745 ਈਸਵੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
- ਉਹ ਮੁਥਰਾਈਅਰ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਵੰਸ਼ ਸੀ।
- ਉਸਨੇ ਪੱਲਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਗੀਰਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੱਲਵ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੰਦੀਵਰਮਨ II ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ।
- ਉਸਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਕਾਵੇਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੰਜਾਵੁਰ, ਤਿਰੂਚਿਰਾਪੱਲੀ, ਪੁਡੁਕੋੱਟਾਈ, ਪੇਰਮਬਲੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ, ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
