Indian Navy Receives New ASW Shallow Water Craft ‘Anjadip’/ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ASW ਸ਼ੈਲੋ ਵਾਟਰ ਕਰਾਫਟ 'ਅੰਜਦੀਪ' ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ
- Indian Navy has received ‘Anjadip’, the third of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC), delivered at Chennai.
- The vessel is indigenously designed and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata, under a PPP model with L&T Shipyard Kattupalli, in accordance with Indian Register of Shipping rules.
- Naming: ‘Anjadip’ is named after Anjadip Island and is the reincarnation of the earlier Petya-class INS Anjadip, which was decommissioned in 2003.
- Specifications: Approximately 77 metres long, it is among the largest Indian warships equipped with waterjet propulsion.
- ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿਖੇ ਡਿਲੀਵਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅੱਠ ਐਂਟੀ-ਸਬਮਰੀਨ ਵਾਰਫੇਅਰ ਸ਼ੈਲੋ ਵਾਟਰ ਕਰਾਫਟ (ASW SWC) ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ 'ਅੰਜਦੀਪ' ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
- ਇਹ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਰੀਚ ਸ਼ਿਪ ਬਿਲਡਰਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਜ਼, ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ, L&T ਸ਼ਿਪਯਾਰਡ ਕੱਟੂਪੱਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ PPP ਮਾਡਲ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸ਼ਿਪਿੰਗ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸਵਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
- ਨਾਮਕਰਨ: 'ਅੰਜਦੀਪ' ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਜਦੀਪ ਟਾਪੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟੀਆ-ਕਲਾਸ INS ਅੰਜਦੀਪ ਦਾ ਪੁਨਰਜਨਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ 2003 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
- ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਤਾਵਾਂ: ਲਗਭਗ 77 ਮੀਟਰ ਲੰਬਾ, ਇਹ ਵਾਟਰਜੈੱਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਪਲਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜੰਗੀ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।
