China Opens World’s Longest Expressway Tunnel in Xinjiang / ਚੀਨ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਨਜਿਆਂਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਬੀ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸਵੇਅ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀ
- The Tianshan Shengli Tunnel is the world’s longest expressway tunnel, with a length of 22.13 km.
- The tunnel’s deepest point lies 1,112 metres below the surface.
- The tunnel is located in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China.
- It forms part of the G0711 Urumqi–Yuli Expressway.
- The Tianshan Mountains divide northern and southern Xinjiang.
- ਤਿਆਨਸ਼ਾਨ ਸ਼ੇਂਗਲੀ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਬੀ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸਵੇਅ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 22.13 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ।
- ਸੁਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਸਤ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ 1,112 ਮੀਟਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਹੈ।
- ਇਹ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਚੀਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਨਜਿਆਂਗ ਉਇਗੁਰ ਆਟੋਨੋਮਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।
- ਇਹ G0711 ਉਰੂਮਕੀ-ਯੂਲੀ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸਵੇਅ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।
- ਤਿਆਨਸ਼ਾਨ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਸ਼ਿਨਜਿਆਂਗ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਹਨ।
