- The Israel Prize is regarded as Israel’s highest civilian and cultural honour.
- Donald Trump will receive the award in 2026, becoming the first non-Israeli in the prize’s 80-year history to be honoured.
- The only other non-Israeli to have received this version of the honour is renowned Indian conductor Zubin Mehta, who was awarded it in 1991.
