AIIMS Becomes First Govt Medical College in India to Train on da Vinci Robotic System
AIIMS - New Delhi has inaugurated the advanced da Vinci Surgical Robot at its Skills, ELearning and Telemedicine (SET) Facility, marking a significant milestone in robotic surgery training in India.
- This is the first installation of the da Vinci system for training at a government medical college in the country.
- This system has been provided by Intuitive Surgical Company under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
- The centre already had the Hugo Robotic Trainer manufactured by Medtronic.
